The history of macOS, Apple's current Mac operating system originally named Mac OS X until 2012 and then OS X until 2016, began with the company's project to replace its 'classic' Mac OS.That system, up to and including its final release Mac OS 9, was a direct descendant of the operating system. Apple has pushed first developer betas of iOS 13.4.5, iPadOS 13.4.5, tvOS 13.4.5, and macOS 10.15.5.The newest beta builds have been released just a week after we saw iOS 13.4, iPadOS 13.4, tvOS 13.4, and macOS 10.15.4 release. It is meant only for developers which means one should have a valid Apple developer account to get access.

As you might have guessed from the version numbers, it is not a major upgrade. These are minor updates with a focus on bug fixes and performance improvements. This is what is also mentioned in the official changelog which is a generic one. It means Apple has not gone deep and offers specific details about bugs that have been fixed or what kind of improvements should be expected.
The only noteworthy thing here is that Apple has decided to jump directly to 13.4.5 and skipped all versions from 13.4.1 to 13.4.4. It seems like whenever the stable build will be released, it will also follow the same path. It seems like Apple did not have any major changes or fixes for beta testing and it simply took a leap.

If you are not a developer or someone who does not have a developer account, you will have to wait until the release of public betas. For developers, they can install the latest beta builds by visiting Apple's developer console. If you are already on the beta channel, the update will become available over the air.

i tried to use the disc utility disc repair ...
i followed these directions:
Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk.
and here is what the status menu said
'checking extents overflow file
checking catalog file
invalid node structure
rebuilding catalog b-tree
the volume macintosh HD could not be repaired
error: the underlying task reported failure on exit
1 hfs volum checked
-1 volume could not be repaired because of an error
repair attempted on 1 volume
-1 volume could not be repaired'
what does all of this mean???
is my harddrive fried???
i did the harddrive test (both the standard and the extended one) and both tests said nothing was wrong with my harddrive
i am able to get past the login screen (takes unusually long though)
and i am also able to get to the desktop wallpaper image but no icons no programs nothing runs..
it just keeps 'loading'
